From Peru to Bolivia: Adventure, Culture and reflection
Our journey from Peru to Bolivia began with an overnight bus ride that took us across the border and into the heart of South America. After a long ride, we finally arrived at Isla del Sol, a magical island on Lake Titicaca. Settling in, we couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the stunning views of the lake and the surrounding mountains—perfect for reflection and a midcourse break to recharge.
During our stay on Isla del Sol, we also had the joy of celebrating Lucia’s birthday! Surrounded by breathtaking views, it was a perfect moment to reflect and enjoy some quality time together. And play some football at the highest navigable lake in the world!
Next up, we made our way to La Paz, the bustling Bolivian city nestled high in the Andes. Exploring La Paz has been a whirlwind, and we’re excited to share that we’ve been diving into some amazing workshops at Teatro Trono in El Alto. The energy and culture here are infectious!
And if that wasn’t enough, we had the chance to experience the iconic Cholitas Wrestling—an absolute highlight! The unique combination of athleticism, culture, and pure entertainment was unforgettable.
To mix things up, we also squeezed in some bouldering at the local climbing gym, putting our strength to the test while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of La Paz. It’s been the perfect blend of adventure and culture!
As we continue our journey, we’re reminded of the beauty and diversity of this region. Bolivia has so much to offer, and we can’t wait to share more!
