Whether you’ve looked into study abroad programs before, or not, we all know that international travel is expensive. Sometimes seeing that price tag turns into an automatic “there’s NO WAY!” from you and your parents or guardians - and that’s the end of the conversation.

That’s NOT the case with Carpe Mundi. Our program is a scholarship program for students receiving a Pell Grant, and our whole goal is to make it very affordable for you to study abroad (no, really, we mean affordable). Using a combination of scholarships and fundraising that Carpe Mundi does, you’ll pay little out of pocket for your study abroad experience. Some of our past students have even MADE money doing Carpe Mundi because of how many scholarships they’ve earned.

There is no magic number for cost, every student is different, but for those that do have to pay out of pocket, it’s generally no more than $2000 - $2500 for everything - including your plane ticket. You won’t be on your own either, we’ll work with you over the course of the year to figure out how to cover those costs! Worried about scholarship essays? We got you there too. We know that thinking and talking about finances can be overwhelming. And that it’s not just the cost of the program that you have to consider: There’s missing a few months of work, and thinking about the bills you have to pay while you’re gone. That’s why we’ll work with you and your family individually to talk about what costs will look like for you specifically, and will make a plan with you so it's doable.
