Start of Urubamba Homestays, Issac’s birthday

By the Instructors

Hello Everyone,

We are thrilled to announce that our group has successfully arrived and settled into the picturesque town of Urubamba, nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley, and we are now ready to begin our first homestay experience! This marks the start of a truly enriching chapter for all of us as we dive into the local culture and community.

In addition to settling in, the group has also kicked off their Independent Study Projects (ISPs), each one promising to be a unique and exciting journey of learning a new and unique skill (Natalie is taking salsa and bachata lessons, and Jakob is studying herbalism). Alongside that, formal Spanish lessons have officially started, and everyone is eager to improve their language skills and connect even more deeply with the people and surroundings here.

The energy in the group is absolutely infectious, and we can feel the excitement in the air as we immerse ourselves fully in the vibrant culture of this beautiful town in the mountains. We are all looking forward to the adventures and learning that lie ahead, and we’re so thankful to be here.

As a special highlight, we also had the pleasure of celebrating the birthday of our very own Isaac! It was a wonderful occasion, filled with joy, laughter, and of course, some delicious cake. To add to the fun, we had a lively piñata session that brought out everyone’s playful side! It was a great way to bond and make lasting memories.

We wanted to share some photos from our journey so far—hopefully, they give you a glimpse of the magic we’re experiencing here in Urubamba.

With warm regards,

The Instructors
